Special Door to Door Vaccination Campaign to Be Launched in Five Big Cities of Punjab

Lahore, July 26, 2021 (PPI-OT):Primary and Secondary Healthcare has been launched a special vaccination campaign has been launched in five big cities of Punjab. This special vaccination campaign will run from 26th July to 10th August. Citizens will be vaccinated at their doorsteps at union council level. According to the Secretary P and SHD Sarah Aslam, Minimum 40% population of Lahore, Multan, Gujranwala and Faisalabad will be vaccinated in this special campaign. Moreover minimum 70% population of Rawalpindi will also be vaccinated during this campaign. The campaign has been launched at the level of union council for public convenience. Special instructions for intensive vaccination drive has been given to all CEOs and other concerned officers.

Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Sarah Aslam told about vaccination double hat trick of over 3 lac vaccination per day in Punjab and termed as special week of awareness regarding vaccination and SOPs compliance, and its positive trend, she says that ONLY and ONLY Vaccination is the real remedy against COVID and its new Delta Variant. Sarah Aslam highlights increase in corona cases, as 529 cases are reported in last 24 hours. 330,986 patients have been fully recovered and active cases are 10,757 till date. 5 more deaths are reported in Lahore, whereas overall deaths in Punjab are 16, bringing the total of 10,939 till date.

Total tests conducted are 6,048,067 while 17,525 tests has processed in recent 24 hours, 229 cases in Lahore, 99 cases in Rawalpindi, 43 cases in Mianwali, 36 cases in Hafiz Abad, 24 cases in Multan, 13 cases in Faisalabad, 11 cases in Sargodha, 10 cases in Bahawalpur, 7 cases in Bahawalnagar, 7 cases in Gujranwala, 6 cases in Dera Ghazi Khan, 6 cases in Nankana, respectively 5 cases each in Muzafargarh, Sialkot and Vehari, 4 cases in Jhelum, 4 cases in Rahim Yar Khan, whereas respectively 3 cases reported in Gujarat and Sahiwal.

During last 24 hours the average positivity ratio 3.0 has recorded across the whole Province. Provincial Capital Lahore positivity ratio recorded 4.7, 1.0 in Faisalabad, 4.1 in Bahawalpur and 1.0 in Multan. Sarah Aslam instructed the public to follow SOPs and timely vaccination is the only key to cope with Delta variant, as its likely to be one of the dominant strains of COVID-19 in Pakistan and worldwide. She also appreciated the public inclusion in vaccine drive.
