Islamabad, In a plea to global powers, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Mushaal Hussein Mullick has spotlighted the alleged war crimes and genocide orchestrated by the New Delhi administration in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The accusations include the use of chemical weapons and strategic demographic changes to alter the region’s indigenous identity.
According to a news release by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a joint press conference held in Islamabad, Mushaal, accompanied by Hurriyat leaders, vocalized her concerns regarding the New Delhi regime’s purported actions in the territory. She emphasized the issuance of an alleged five million domiciles to non-Kashmiris by India, which she believes is an attempt to modify the demographic composition of Jammu and Kashmir. Pointing towards the escalated gravity of the situation, she noted India’s alleged use of chemical weaponry and phosphorus bombs against the region’s civilians. Additionally, she cited instances of Sikhs being targeted by India, extending beyond Kashmir to locations as distant as Canada.
The Special Assistant also brought to light the detention of the entire Hurriyat leadership, naming her husband Yaseen Malik, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, and Asiya Andrabi among those imprisoned.
Hurriyat representatives, in their addresses, shed light on the upcoming Black Day, a symbol of protest against India’s occupation, which traces back to this date in 1947. They brought attention to the deployment of a reported one million military personnel in IIOJK, an act they believe has transformed the territory into a highly militarized open prison.
In their conclusion, the leaders called upon the United Nations and the international community to spearhead a solution for the long-standing Kashmir dispute, rooted in adherence to UN resolutions. They emphasized that true peace in the region hinges on the resolution of the Kashmir conflict. In closing, they also denounced Israeli actions in Gaza.
