Special Assistant Engages with Industry Leaders on Growth Strategies


Islamabad: Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Industries and Production, Haroon Akhtar Khan, convened two pivotal meetings today with leaders from Pakistan’s meat export and polyester industries. The discussions centered on industry challenges and potential growth strategies.



In the first meeting, Khan engaged with Khalil Sattar, CEO of K and N’s, to address issues in the meat export sector. Sattar highlighted concerns over taxation and market documentation, emphasizing the importance of value addition through branding. Khan assured that the government is working to support the poultry sector and is committed to providing incentives to enhance industrial capacity.



The second meeting with Zeeshan Fairsta from Rupali Plastics focused on the polyester industry, particularly anti-dumping issues and budgetary proposals for industrial growth. Khan emphasized the government’s commitment to advancing the industrial sectors through strategic measures in the upcoming national budget.



These meetings underscore the government’s initiative to tackle industrial challenges and bolster a competitive manufacturing environment in Pakistan.
