Speakers at Brussels seminar demand end to HR violations in IIOJK 

Brussels, December 10, 2022 (PPI-OT):Speakers at a seminar in Brussels, the European headquarters, have called for an immediate end to the human rights violations by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The seminar was organized by Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU) on the Word Human Rights Day, today. The seminar was presided over by senior leader of KCEU, Chaudhry Khalid Joshi, and participated by Kashmiri and Pakistani and European intellectuals and experts. Among the speakers were Chaudhry Khalid Joshi, Sardar Mehmood, Endre Barcs, Sardar Siddique, Shiraz Raj, Hafiz Unib Rashid and Shazia Aslam.

Iftikhar Ahmed, Raza Chaudhry, Mir Shah Jahan, Aslam Shah, Mahar Nadeem and Raja Abdul Qayum were among other participants. The speakers asked the international community, especially the European Union’s authorities to play their role in ending human rights violations in IIOJK. They appealed for the immediate release of Kashmiri human rights defenders Khurram Parvez and Ahsan Unto as well as Kashmiri political leaders including Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik and other Kashmiri prisoners.

Meanwhile, the KCEU Chairman, Ali Raza Syed, who is on a visit to Pakistan, in a statement on the Human Rights Day asked the international community to put pressure on India to immediately end its brutalities against the Kashmiris and give them their right to self-determination.
