Speakers Advocate for Kashmiris’ Rights in Light of Partition’s Unfulfilled Agenda

PESHAWAR, At a recent seminar, prominent speakers voiced that Kashmiris continue their struggle to fulfill the unresolved agenda stemming from the Partition of the subcontinent, insisting that Jammu and Kashmir were intended to be a part of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

According to a news release by Kashmir Media Service, the event took place at Degree College Buner in the Buner district of Pakistan’s KP province.

Leading figures, including APHC-AJK Convener Mahmood Ahmad Saghar and various Hurriyat leaders such as Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Altaf Hussain Wani, Muhammad Sultan Butt, and Zahid Safi, addressed the seminar. They emphasized their belief that India would ultimately have to relinquish control over occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The orators called upon the global community to intervene, bringing an end to what they termed India’s illegitimate occupation. They highlighted the ongoing human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir, which have persisted for over seven decades, and criticized the international community’s perceived double standards on the issue.

Heshmat Khan, Shahzad Akbar, Maulana Jameel, and Tilak Singh were among other notable figures who contributed their perspectives during the seminar.
