Islamabad, In a resolute address at the 148th Inter-parliamentary Union Assembly in Geneva, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq vehemently criticized Israel for its actions against Palestinians, labeling the situation as genocide. His speech underscored the gravity of the violence inflicted on innocent civilians, including women, children, and the elderly, while expressing dismay over the lack of decisive action from the global community and institutions like the UN Security Council.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Speaker Sadiq called for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in the region and emphasized the need for justice for the Palestinian people. He reiterated Pakistan’s strong support for the Palestinian cause, advocating for the establishment of a viable, independent, and contiguous Palestinian state within the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif serving as its capital.
Sadiq’s statements reflect Pakistan’s firm stance on the Palestinian issue, urging the international community to take meaningful steps towards resolving the long-standing conflict and ensuring peace and security in the region.
