Madinah: Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, emphasized the enduring bond between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia during a meeting with the Governor of Madinah, Prince Faisal bin Salman Al Saud. Sadiq described the relationship as “one soul in two bodies,” highlighting the historical support Saudi Arabia has provided to Pakistan.
The meeting, held at the Governor’s House in Madinah, focused on enhancing bilateral relations through parliamentary diplomacy. Speaker Sadiq expressed his gratitude towards Saudi leaders and stressed the significance of the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah to the people of Pakistan. He advocated for increased exchange of parliamentary delegations to bolster ties and cooperation between the two nations.
Addressing the ongoing conflict in Palestine, Sadiq called for unity within the Muslim Ummah, condemning the actions of Israel against civilians. He urged the international community to address the human rights violations occurring in the region.
Governor Prince Faisal acknowledged the sentiments shared by Speaker Sadiq and reiterated Saudi Arabia’s commitment to Pakistan’s development. He also highlighted the importance of unity among Muslim nations and collective efforts towards achieving peace in Palestine.
