Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has expressed deep condolences on the passing of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Father of the Amir of Qatar. In a letter to the Speaker of the Shura Council of Qatar, Sadiq extended heartfelt sympathies on behalf of the Pakistani Parliament and its people.
According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Sadiq paid tribute to the late Sheikh Hamad, recognizing him as an influential statesman who played a pivotal role in elevating Qatar’s global stature. He highlighted the late leader’s significant contributions to peace, dialogue, and the development of the Muslim Ummah as enduring legacies that will inspire future generations.
Sadiq also emphasized the strong parliamentary ties between Pakistan and Qatar, expressing Pakistan’s solidarity with Qatar during this period of mourning. He noted that the grief felt by the Qatari people is shared by Pakistan, symbolizing the deep friendship and mutual respect between the two nations.
In his message, Sadiq prayed for the departed soul’s peace and offered prayers for strength and patience for the bereaved family and the people of Qatar in facing this significant loss.
