ISLAMABAD, Speaker National Assembly and former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Raja Pervez Ashraf, emphasized that world peace hinges on the resolution of the Kashmir and Palestine issues in line with the aspirations of their people. His remarks came in a message on the occasion of Jammu Martyrs’ Day, where he paid tribute to Kashmiris who fought against Indian and Dogra Raj forces on November 6, 1947.
According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Ashraf underscored the unforgettable sacrifices of Kashmiris in their struggle for self-determination and criticized the world’s silence over human rights violations in Palestine and Kashmir. He reiterated Pakistan’s continued diplomatic support for Kashmir and Palestine at regional and international forums, stating that regional and global peace depends on resolving these issues as per United Nations Security Council resolutions.
