Srinagar, August 20, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior Congress leader, Prof Saifuddin Soz, has expressed serious concern over Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government’s moves to unconstitutionally change the demographic composition of the territory.
Prof Soz in a statement issued in Srinagar called upon the Kashmiri politicians particularly those associated with the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) to give a call for a general strike and ask people to stand united, extra-ordinarily, at this critical juncture in Kashmir’s history. I wonder and feel deeply concerned on Modi’s unconstitutional formula of demographic change, especially in Kashmir, he said.
Prof Soz also wondered at the reaction shown by the Kashmiri politicians questioning whether it was adequate to this disastrously open move to change the demographic profile of the occupied territory. He said that they should close their ranks and stand extraordinarily united on this occasion.
The Congress leader further said the time has come for the people of Kashmir to come forward for a decisive battle against brazenly undemocratic and unconstitutional step by Modi government to change the demographic profile of IIOJK. He called upon the Kashmiri politicians to present a memorandum to the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, in which she should be told that the people of the territory would, under no circumstances, accept any change in its demography.
