South Korea and Pakistan Seek to Deepen Bilateral Ties

Islamabad, South Korea has articulated a strong desire to bolster its bilateral relations with Pakistan, with a focus on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, IT, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, this intention was conveyed by Korean Ambassador Park Ki Jun during a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad today. Ambassador Park congratulated Prime Minister Sharif on his re-election, acknowledging the longstanding cooperation between the two nations since the early 1960s and lauding Pakistan’s interest in learning from Korea’s rapid industrial and technological advancements.

Prime Minister Sharif expressed his appreciation for Korea’s support and outlined proposals to enhance skilled manpower exports to Korea and increase business exchanges between Seoul and Islamabad. He also extended an invitation to South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol for an official visit to Pakistan, aiming to further cement the growing partnership.
