In Islamabad, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has outlined the government’s reforms of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs), aiming to enhance governance, efficiency, and financial sustainability. The announcement was made at a banquet honoring the President of the Asian Development Bank, Masatsugu Asakawa.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Finance Minister emphasized the critical role of the Asian Development Bank in Pakistan’s development, particularly in infrastructure, energy, education, and social sectors. He called on the ADB to increase private sector engagement in Pakistan.
ADB President Asakawa supported the ongoing reforms, highlighting their importance in bolstering Pakistan’s fiscal framework. He praised Pakistan’s efforts towards ensuring transparency and sustainability in financial management.
