Snatcher Gang Busted by Islamabad Police, Valuables Recovered

Islamabad: In a significant breakthrough, the Islamabad Police have dismantled a notorious snatcher gang, apprehending three members and recovering a cache of stolen valuables and weapons. The arrests were made by the Shalimar police station team, following a concerted effort employing both technical and human resources.

The detained individuals, identified as Awais, Abdul Muttalib, and Saqib, were found in possession of cash, mobile phones, watches, a motorbike, and a weapon, all believed to be linked to their criminal activities. The police have registered cases against the trio, and further investigations are currently underway.

Deputy Inspector General of Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, has emphasized the importance of continuing the crackdown on criminal activities, urging officers to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens. Tariq reassured the public that any criminal elements disturbing the peace will face strict action.

The police have also encouraged residents to report any suspicious activities or individuals via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” as part of efforts to maintain public safety and order.
