Islamabad, January 04, 2023 (PPI-OT):Islamabad capital police apprehended six outlaws from different areas and recovered alcohol and weapon with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said. He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.

Following these directives, the Lohi Bher police arrested two accused namely Sanober Ali and Irfan Ali and recovered 10 litres of alcohol and one 222 bore rifle with ammunition from their possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.

During a special crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders police teams arrested four proclaimed offenders from various areas of the city. IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained.
