Islamabad, December 25, 2022 (PPI-OT):Islamabad capital police apprehended six outlaws from different areas and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said. He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Aabpara police arrested an accused namely Fayyaz and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. Likewise, the Phulgran police team arrested an accused namely Ahtisham and recovered 40 liter liquor from his possession.
Similarly, the Ramna police team arrested an accused namely Ghulam Haider and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. The Nilore police team arrested two accused namely Ehsan and Ghulam Murtaza and recovered two pistols with ammunition from their possession.
Furthermore, the Shahzad Town police team arrested an accused namely Ehtisham and recovered 02 liquor cans from his possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained.
