Sindh to Reactivate Monitoring and Evaluation Cell for Development Projects

The Sindh government, led by Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, has announced the reactivation of the Monitoring and Evaluation Cell, dormant for the past decade, to oversee ongoing development projects across the province. According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, Minister Shah declared that the decision follows direct orders from Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, aiming for rapid implementation to ensure the chairman’s directives are fulfilled promptly. The revived cell will employ modern technology, including artificial intelligence, to enhance the management and assessment of development initiatives. Preparations for this technological upgrade have already been completed. Starting May 1st, Minister Shah, alongside Chairman Planning and Development Najam Ahmad Shah, will personally conduct surveys in various districts to monitor progress and compliance. He emphasized that delays and inefficiencies will not be tolerated, with strict actions planne
d against those failing to meet deadlines, including potential blacklisting and inquiries. This initiative reflects the provincial government’s commitment to transparency and efficiency in executing development schemes, ensuring that no hurdles hinder the progress of Sindh’s development agenda.
