Karachi: The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) has issued new guidelines for candidates needing to change their domicile status due to errors or changes in personal circumstances, as outlined in a recent circular.
According to Public Service Commission Sindh, the guidelines specify different processes depending on the situation. For candidates who mistakenly selected the wrong district of domicile on the SPSC official website, a detailed rectification process is outlined. It requires a formal application, an affidavit of Rs. 100, and supporting documents proving the correction is justified.
For those seeking to change their domicile from one district to another, the SPSC mandates an application, affidavit, and evidence of cancellation of previous domicile, along with the submission of a new domicile certificate and a matching CNIC address.
Furthermore, the circular includes specific provisions under the “Wedlock Policy” for female candidates who change their domicile due to marriage. This section requires a registered Nikahnama, an affidavit, and CNICs of both spouses showing the same address, among other documents.
These measures aim to streamline the domicile change process and ensure that all adjustments are well-documented and justified, safeguarding the integrity of administrative procedures.
