Karachi, The Sindh police department, following the directives of Sindh Inspector General Rifat Mukhtar Raja, is actively implementing welfare measures for its employees and their families. These measures include the provision of scholarships to the children of police officers and financial medical assistance to personnel suffering from various diseases or injured in the line of duty.
According to DIRECTOR PRESS, the Welfare Branch of the Sindh police is currently awarding scholarships to 21 boys and girls of police officers who are pursuing their education in private and public sector universities. The total amount allocated for these scholarships is significant. Four students in private universities under AIG Welfare Sindh are receiving a total of 909,983 rupees, while 17 students studying in public sector universities under the Zubair Nazir Sheikh program are being granted scholarships totaling 16,16,120 rupees. In total, 25,26,103 rupees are being distributed among all the students benefiting from these scholarship programs.
In addition to educational support, the Sindh police department is also providing financial medical assistance to its personnel. This support, amounting to 35,00,000 rupees, is aimed at police officers who have suffered injuries during their duties or are battling various illnesses. This initiative reflects the department’s commitment to not only the professional but also the personal wellbeing of its members and their families.
