Karachi, In a significant move towards improving healthcare services for police personnel and their families, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon chaired a meeting at the Central Police Office to review and enhance the medical facilities at Police Hospitals in Karachi and Hyderabad. The meeting focused on modernizing equipment and ensuring the availability of standard medicines.
According to Sindh Police, the meeting addressed the progress made following previous directives to upgrade medical facilities, with Police Hospitals in Karachi and Hyderabad initiating the procurement of modern equipment and essential machinery. The commitment to providing standard medicines has been fulfilled, with 100% availability achieved in these hospitals.
IG Memon emphasized the importance of maintaining regular communication with the Sindh Health Department to facilitate the services of specialist doctors in police hospitals. He also highlighted the necessity of ensuring quality medical services in the outpatient departments, including access to standard medications and the modernization of diagnostic tests like blood tests and X-rays.
The meeting was attended by senior police officials and healthcare administrators, indicating a collaborative effort to improve the healthcare infrastructure for police employees and their dependents in Sindh.
