Sindh Police to Recruit 25,000 Personnel, Emphasizes Diversity


Karachi, In a significant move to bolster its ranks, the Sindh Police, under the leadership of IG Sindh Rifat Mukhtar Raja, has announced plans to recruit 25,000 personnel. This decision was made in a meeting that included high-ranking police officials and educational authorities, focusing on strengthening policing capabilities and providing employment opportunities for the youth in the region.



According to Sindh Police, the recruitment strategy was detailed in a meeting held at the Central Police Office in Karachi, with DIG Establishment leading the briefing. The process, set to be facilitated through the SIBA testing service, aims to introduce a phased test schedule to efficiently manage the recruitment of the massive number of new officers. Efforts will be made to simplify the testing process for applicants, following directives from the Chief Minister of Sindh to initiate the recruitment of 25,000 officials.



IG Sindh Rifat Mukhtar Raja emphasized the dual benefits of the recruitment drive: enhancing the operational strength of the police force and addressing unemployment among the region’s youth. He also stressed the importance of fulfilling all legal requirements swiftly to expedite the recruitment process. A key focus of the initiative is to ensure representation from diverse groups within the new recruits, with specific quotas allocated for women, minorities, and individuals with special needs.



The involvement of the Vice Chancellor of Sukkur IBA, participating via video link, indicates the collaborative approach being taken to ensure a transparent and merit-based selection process. The IG Sindh’s commitment to engaging with his team and taking necessary steps forward highlights the proactive stance of the Sindh Police in tackling both crime and unemployment through this extensive recruitment drive.
