Sindh Police to Enhance Vehicle Tracking and Wireless System Ahead of Elections

Karachi, In a strategic move to bolster security and efficiency, Inspector General of Police Sindh, Riffat Mukhtar Raja, presided over a meeting at the Central Police Office Karachi to review the current state of police vehicles and technical equipment. This review is part of the preparations for the upcoming general elections.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, the meeting was attended by DIGP Headquarters Sindh, DIGP Technical and Transport Sindh, DIGP Finance, and other senior police officers. During the briefing, the DIGP Technical and Transport provided an in-depth analysis of the condition of police vehicles and technical equipment, including the need for repairs.

IG Sindh Riffat Mukhtar Raja underscored the urgency of implementing the proposal to install RFID/trackers in all police vehicles. This technology aims to reduce costs, minimize potential losses, and improve the monitoring of police vehicle movements.

Furthermore, IG Sindh emphasized the necessity of re-evaluating the police wireless system. He called for detailed recommendations to be prepared through mutual consultation and suggestions, ensuring that the wireless system functions effectively and successfully during the general elections.

This initiative reflects the Sindh Police’s commitment to enhancing their operational capabilities and readiness for the forthcoming electoral process.
