Sindh Police to Conduct Physical Tests for Recruitment Amidst Intense Heat

Karachi, The Sindh Police are set to begin their physical examination process for recruiting new officers on May 23, amid concerns over the rising summer temperatures. This examination is crucial for filling 11,108 vacant constable positions across the province, a significant step in bolstering the law enforcement capabilities of the region.

According to Sindh Police, the meeting to finalize the arrangements was chaired by IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon and attended by senior police officials including Additional IG Karachi and DIGs from various branches. The discussions, held at the Central Police Office Karachi and via video link with regional heads, emphasized the importance of adequate facilities for candidates during the tests.

IG Memon directed that all test centers must be equipped with essential amenities such as electricity, clean drinking water, medical aid, and ambulances to ensure the wellbeing of the participants. Considering the severe heat, it was also decided that physical tests should preferably be conducted in the afternoon to minimize health risks.

Furthermore, IG Memon instructed that CCTV cameras be installed at all centers to maintain transparency and security during the recruitment process. The results of the physical and running tests are to be promptly posted on the police website to maintain transparency. In recognition of excellent organizational efforts, cash rewards and certificates of appreciation will be awarded to officers and teams who manage the test centers effectively.
