Sindh Police Launches Updated Attendance App and New Official Website

Karachi: The Sindh Police Department, under the leadership of IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, has officially launched a new website and an updated version of the Point Me attendance application. This technology upgrade aims to enhance internal communications and improve the efficiency of police operations across the province.

According to Sindh Police, the inauguration ceremony was held at the Central Police Office in Karachi, attended by numerous high-ranking officers, including Additional IGs and DIGs from various branches. Participants from remote locations such as Hyderabad, SBA, Mirpurkhas, Larkana, and Sukkur joined via video link. During the event, the DIG and SSP of the Media Cell provided a detailed briefing on the features of the updated Point Me software and the new website, highlighting how these tools are designed to streamline communication and administrative processes within the force.

The Point Me app, now enhanced with messaging capabilities, including text, voice, and video, is integral to improving the attendance system and enabling direct transmission of instructions from superiors to their subordinates. The app will also facilitate the dissemination of security instructions during major events and festivals. Following its successful implementation in Karachi and Dadu, plans are underway to roll out the app in other districts.

The newly launched website will serve as a comprehensive resource for police personnel, providing access to welfare information, operational guidelines, and public service announcements. It is also set to host a variety of content, including videos and links important for police training and community engagement.

IG Memon emphasized the significance of these technological advancements in modernizing police work, noting that the adoption of such tools is crucial for enhancing the effectiveness and community orientation of police services. He affirmed that these innovations would strengthen the connection between different ranks within the force and improve the overall management of police activities.
