Karachi, A crucial meeting to review the annual development plans of the Sindh Police Department was held at the Central Police Office in Karachi, chaired by IG Sindh Rifat Mukhtar Raja. The meeting focused on the progress and completion of various developmental schemes under the department.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, the Superintendent Engineer of Police Works CPO and AIG State Management briefed the meeting on the ongoing and completed projects of the Sindh Police Department. They reported that under the Annual Development Plan (ADP), 31 development schemes are currently in progress. These include 26 schemes related to the construction of new police buildings, such as police stations and check posts, and 5 residential projects for police officers and personnel. Seven of these projects are nearing completion and are expected to be finished by June 2024, with notable schemes like the Driving License Branch Saudabad.
IG Sindh Riffat Mukhtar Raja instructed all Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) to personally monitor these development schemes and ensure their prompt completion. He emphasized the need to expedite work on all ongoing construction projects. Raja also announced his plans to personally visit the sites of these development schemes to review progress and resolve any issues.
The meeting was attended by Additional IG Karachi Khadim Hussain Rand and DIGs from various regions of Sindh, including South, East, West, Traffic, L&T, RRF, Balamshafa. DIGs from Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, SBA, Sukkur, and Larkana participated via video link, reflecting a comprehensive involvement of senior police officials in the developmental initiatives of the Sindh Police Department.
