Karachi, In a significant move towards modernizing its administrative processes, the Sindh Police, under the leadership of IG Sindh Rafat Mukhtar Raja, conducted a review meeting to discuss the implementation and benefits of the E-Sheet application. This innovative tool is set to transform the way police employees manage various administrative tasks, including appointments, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
According to Sindh Police, DIG Establishment Sindh, Syed Pir Muhammad Shah, provided a comprehensive briefing on the electronic sheet application during the meeting. He emphasized that the E-Sheet app offers a modern and convenient mechanism for police personnel to directly apply for solutions to various challenges they face. One significant advantage of this app is that it eliminates the need for police staff in remote areas to physically visit their respective offices for administrative matters.
The E-Sheet app was initially introduced on a trial basis in the South Zone and SSU, where it successfully resolved about 90 percent of administrative issues. Encouraged by its effectiveness, the app is now being made available to police officers across all districts in Sindh. A key feature of the app is its automatic system that updates applicants on the status of their requests and includes a tracking option for added transparency. If an officer does not respond to a request within 15 days, the app automatically forwards it to higher authorities.
Furthermore, the app will facilitate the digitization of staff data and provide WhatsApp-like communication features for district officers and their teams. A training program for 500 staff members on HRMIS is planned to start, which will eventually extend to all police personnel, enhancing their proficiency in using the E-Sheet app.
IG Sindh Rafat Mukhtar Raja highlighted the importance of harmonizing police administrative affairs with current requirements, noting that this would ease the burden on officers working in the field and offices, ultimately leading to improved performance. The meeting saw the participation of high-ranking police officials, including Additional IG Karachi, Additional IG Special Branch, DIGs of various departments, Zonal DIGs, and District SSPs. DIGs and SSPs from other police ranges also participated via video link.
The E-Sheet application, available for download on Google and iOS platforms, marks a significant step forward in digitizing the administrative functions of the Sindh Police.
