Karachi: Syed Najmi Alam, Advisor to the CM Sindh on Livestock and Fisheries, has directed the implementation of an urgent vaccination and disease prevention program for cattle in the rain-impacted areas of Sindh, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding both livestock and displaced families.
According to Chief Minister Sindh, during a high-level meeting with the Director Generals of the Livestock and Fisheries departments, Alam ordered the immediate commencement of vaccination drives and mosquito control measures on government farms and among cattle owned by the public. He mandated daily performance reports to ensure swift action and results, threatening to reassess the delegated powers of deputy directors if outcomes are not satisfactory. Alam also announced plans to personally visit relief camps across the district to oversee the execution of these relief efforts, underscoring the state’s commitment to address the health emergencies arising from recent heavy rains.
