Karachi: Governor Kamran Khan Tesuri, alongside Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and the Sindh cabinet, marked Independence Day with a visit to Mazar-e-Quaid, where they paid homage to Pakistan’s founder and pledged renewed commitment to the nation’s progress.
According to Sindh Governor House, the official delegation laid flowers at the shrine of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and held a flag-hoisting ceremony. Governor Tesuri expressed gratitude towards the contributions of military and law enforcement personnel and highlighted the economic promise of the Sindh Industrial and Financial Corridor (SIFC) project. The Governor also noted the recent Olympic gold medal win by Arshad Nadeem as a significant highlight of this year’s celebrations.
The Governor further extended an invitation to the public for an evening of festivities at the Governor’s House, featuring performances by renowned singer Atif Aslam and other artists, as well as an appearance by Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem. The celebrations are set to include the recitation of the National Anthem and interactions with school children who participated in the day’s events, capturing the patriotic spirit of the occasion.
