Karachi: Sindh’s Energy, Development, and Planning Minister, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, announced a substantial IT training program for 10,000 youths, with plans to expand to 100,000, during his visit to the 25th ITCN Asia 2024 International IT and Telecom Show at the Expo Center. This initiative aims to equip young participants with cutting-edge IT skills and open up immediate employment opportunities.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, Minister Shah emphasized the program’s role in countering pessimism and providing hope through technology education amid widespread negativity. He highlighted the participation of significant international and national players like Huawei, Google Cloud, and others, which underscores the global dimension of the event and its importance to the regional economy.
The minister also took the opportunity to commend the efforts of international participants and the local IT sector, pointing out that the presence of countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, China, Turkey, and Australia, along with top corporations, reinforces the exhibition’s status as a pivotal event for tech and commerce in the region. Amidst his interactions, Shah expressed confidence in the bright future of Pakistan’s youth and the proactive steps being taken by the Sindh government under the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto to harness this potential.
