Karachi: In a comprehensive review meeting chaired by Inspector General of Police Sindh, Ghulam Nabi Memon, the performance of the IGP Complaint Cell (CMS Portal) was scrutinized, highlighting significant achievements in complaint resolution and ongoing challenges.
According to Sindh Police, the meeting covered the period from January 2024 to July 4, 2024, detailing the operations of the Complaint Cell which has been actively receiving and addressing public grievances through various communication channels including letters, phone calls, SMS, email, and WhatsApp. The cell processed a substantial number of complaints, with 38,983 received and 36,112 immediately resolved.
IGP Memon emphasized the need for the Grievance Center to adopt digital advancements to enhance its efficiency and responsiveness to public needs. He also stressed the importance of assigning skilled and experienced officers to handle sensitive complaints and directed that serious allegations against police personnel be escalated to the Internal Accountability Department Bureau (IAB) for rigorous investigation.
The meeting underscored the commitment of the Sindh Police to improving public service delivery and maintaining transparency and accountability in its operations.
