Karachi: Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesori, emphasized the critical role of education in harnessing the potential of Pakistan’s youth during his address at the 11th Convocation of Muhammad Ali Jinnah University. Highlighting the demographic advantage of Pakistan’s youthful population, he advocated for skill development as a key driver for the country’s progress.
According to Sindh Governor House, Chancellor Tesori addressed the gathering, which included university dignitaries such as Pro-Chancellor Professor Sohail Afzal and President Dr. Zubair Ahmed Sheikh, as well as students and their families. He articulated a vision of a bright future powered by a skilled youth workforce, capable of leading Pakistan towards stability and prosperity. He urged educational institutions to focus on equipping young people with the necessary skills to meet contemporary challenges and opportunities.
In his speech, Governor Tesori also noted the university’s partnerships with international tech giants like SAP, Google, CISCO, and Microsoft, praising these collaborations for enhancing student training. He expressed satisfaction with the university’s efforts in aligning its educational programs with global standards and suggested expanding its reach beyond its current locations to further contribute to regional development.
The convocation ceremony also saw the Governor recognizing outstanding students with medals, celebrating their hard work and dedication to their studies. He shared his optimism about the role of educated youth in achieving national goals and called on them to maintain their commitment to societal improvement.
The event followed a busy day for Governor Tesori, who had earlier bid farewell to Syedna Mufazal Saifuddin, the spiritual leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community, at Karachi Airport. The Governor’s engagements underscored his commitment to both spiritual and educational growth in Sindh.
