Karachi: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesori hosted a meeting with CSS officers under training at the Governor House on Thursday, focusing on the pivotal role of civil servants in enhancing public service and governance. The governor stressed the importance of dedication and willpower over resources in achieving governmental goals and improving societal conditions.
According to Sindh Governor House, the meeting delved into the responsibilities of CSS officers in administering state affairs and ensuring the public benefits from government initiatives. Governor Tesori articulated that the quality of life in society hinges significantly on the dedication of these officers to public service. He highlighted their essential role in facilitating community services and noted that the current projects under the Governor’s Initiative are funded entirely through the support of benefactors, not from the Governor’s House or the Sindh Government’s budget.
The governor also commended the contributions of former bureaucrats Tariq Mustafa and Taha Saleem to the CSS Corner’s free exam training initiative, which aids talented youth in the province in preparing for the CSS exams without cost. Additionally, Governor Tesori awarded gold medals to 28 CSS qualifiers from the province for their exemplary performance.
The event concluded with a tour of the IT marquee, ration drive, and bell of hope, showcasing ongoing projects supported by the Governor’s office aimed at community development and support.
