Sindh Governor Lauds Al-Mustafa Medical Center’s Free Cleft Surgery Initiative

Karachi: During a visit to Al-Mustafa Medical Center on September 6, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori praised the facility’s ongoing efforts to provide free cleft lip and palate surgeries, highlighting the significant impact of such services on underserved populations. The governor underscored the importance of accessible healthcare and commended the center’s contribution to humanitarian efforts.

According to Sindh Governor House, the medical staff briefed Governor Tesori on the week-long initiative, which has already seen 30 registrations. The surgeries are being performed by a five-member team, including three American surgeons. Governor Tesori expressed his admiration for the center’s commitment to offering these surgeries at no cost, recognizing it as a vital service to humanity.

Governor Tesori shared his thoughts with the media, stating his appreciation for the welfare work conducted by Al-Mustafa Medical Center. He highlighted that many individuals unable to receive treatment during childhood are now benefiting from these crucial services for free, thanks to the expertise of doctors from America involved in the surgeries.

Additionally, Governor Tesori discussed his involvement with Al-Mustafa Trust, emphasizing the influential role of Haji Hanif Tayyab, whom he described as a role model within the community. He also touched upon a poignant moment from the Defense Day ceremony in Malir, recounting his meeting with a mother who had lost a son in service and was willing to see her other sons join the army in dedication to their country. This story, he noted, exemplifies the bravery and sacrifice prevalent among the Pakistani people.
