Karachi: On the occasion of Kashmir Exploitation Day, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori highlighted India’s August 5 actions in Occupied Kashmir, calling for global intervention to restore human rights and support the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination.
According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori criticized India’s unilateral decision to alter the status of the disputed territory, which he described as a violation of international laws and a denial of Kashmiri people’s rights. He accused India of state terrorism, asserting that such measures cannot alter the historical reality of Kashmir or suppress the Kashmiris’ desire for freedom. The Governor detailed India’s tactics, including settling non-state residents and altering electoral rolls, as part of its coercion strategy.
Governor Tesori also called on the international community to pressure India to reverse its unconstitutional actions and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri freedom movement. He emphasized that Pakistan would continue its moral, political, and diplomatic backing until Kashmiris achieve self-determination.
