Karachi, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori inaugurated the 17th Blood Asia 2023 at the Expo Center, marking a significant event in the construction industry. The inauguration was attended by notable dignitaries, including the Consul General of China, Yang Yundong.
According to Sindh Governor House, the event witnessed participation from over 150 delegations across 12 countries, featuring more than 550 stalls from both local and foreign companies. Governor Tesori commended the organizers for their continuous efforts in organizing this vital event and extended a special welcome to the foreign delegates. Highlighting the importance of the construction industry, which employs millions, he emphasized the need for addressing challenges faced by the sector and underscored the urgent requirement for low-cost residential units in Karachi.
In a media interaction, Governor Tesori announced significant foreign investments coming into Pakistan, including agreements worth 20 to 25 billion dollars recently signed with the United Arab Emirates, with expectations of up to 100 billion dollars in the coming months from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait. He acknowledged Army Chief General Asim Munir’s crucial role in this context, describing it as a fight against economic terrorism and calling for national acknowledgment of his efforts.
Addressing political interactions, he mentioned meetings with Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari, reaffirming his commitment to his role as the Governor of Sindh. Tesori also proposed that funds received from Bahria Town should predominantly be invested in Karachi, the country’s economic hub. Concluding his address, he expressed optimism about Pakistan’s developmental and prosperity goals in the coming six months, emphasizing the collective responsibility to contribute towards national progress.
