Karachi: Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesori, marked Defense Day with a poignant visit to Mazar-e-Quaid, the mausoleum of Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, where he laid a wreath and offered prayers. The visit emphasized unity and remembrance, reflecting on the sacrifices made by Pakistan’s military.
According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori during his visit underscored the significance of national unity and the dedication of the Pakistani people to protect the nation’s sovereignty as envisioned by Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He noted that the spirit of the nation remains vigilant in safeguarding Pakistan, referencing the historical valiance displayed on September 6 when Pakistani soldiers thwarted adversarial threats.
In his remarks, Governor Tesori reiterated the commitment to the country, stating, “Today we promise that we will give everything to protect our beloved country.” Addressing the media later, he conveyed a strong message against divisive narratives, asserting that all citizens stand united under the national flag, supporting the armed forces and honoring the martyrs. He also mentioned that the Governor House hosted the largest stage in Pakistani history for the Defense Day ceremony, further celebrating the unity and strength of the nation.
