Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori Announces Healthcare Improvements During Civil Hospital Visit

Karachi, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori made a late-night visit to the Civil Hospital in Karachi, where he announced significant healthcare improvements, including the provision of 50 beds and one ventilator for the children’s emergency section.

According to Sindh Governor House, was part of Governor Tesori’s commitment to addressing the healthcare needs of the province. Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by Medical Superintendent Dr. Khalid Bukhari. During his visit, Governor Tesori interacted with patients and attendants, assessing the available facilities and identifying areas for improvement.

Highlighting the necessity for enhanced healthcare facilities, similar to those at Jinnah Hospital, Governor Tesori announced the addition of 50 beds and a ventilator for the children’s emergency department at Civil Hospital. He also acknowledged the struggles of people who lack basic amenities like motorcycles and mobile phones, announcing provisions to assist them.

Governor Tesori emphasized his dedication to public service, stating that he will continue his efforts regardless of external opinions. He expressed that hospital visits are crucial for understanding patient problems firsthand. Furthermore, he advocated for the implementation of health insurance for the general population to ensure access to quality healthcare.

The Governor noted that Sindh is the only province yet to provide health facility cards, which have been available across the country since 2016. He mentioned his discussions with the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary of Sindh regarding this matter, stressing the importance of making this facility accessible to the people of Sindh.
