Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori Advocates for Enhanced Trade and Cultural Ties with Iran


Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori is actively seeking to deepen trade relationships and cultural exchanges with Iran, emphasizing the strong bilateral ties that extend beyond governmental interactions to robust public connections.



According to Sindh Governor House, during discussions with a visiting delegation from various Iranian universities, Governor Tesori detailed his efforts to foster greater cooperation, including recent discussions with Iranian officials and plans to introduce multiple foreign language courses at the Governor’s House to facilitate better communication and understanding. These courses, set to include Chinese, Turkish, Persian, and German, aim to equip local students with the skills needed for global engagement.



Governor Tesori highlighted the Sindh government’s initiatives such as offering 50,000 students modern IT courses free of charge and starting the Sindh Industrial and Facilitation Center (SIFC) to attract more investors. He reiterated the shared goals of the Pakistani Prime Minister and Army Chief to enhance trade with friendly nations, including Iran.



The meeting also featured remarks from Vice Consul General of Iran, Ghulam Abbas Zabolia, and Chairman of Pakistan Higher Education Commission, Professor Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, who noted Pakistan’s progress in science and technology. The head of the Iranian delegation, Professor Dr. Seyed Abolhassan Navab, praised Pakistani hospitality and expressed a deep-seated affection for Pakistan, highlighting popular Pakistani exports like mangoes, rice, and sugar in Iran.



This engagement underscores a mutual interest in leveraging educational and economic opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations and promote regional stability and prosperity.
