Sindh Governor Introduces Digital Registration for Property with New Ordinance

Karachi, Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesori, has officially sanctioned the Registration (Sindh Amendment) Ordinance, 2024, ushering in a new era of digital convenience for property registration within the province. This ordinance, approved under the powers vested in him by clause (1) of Article 128 of the Constitution of Pakistan, aims to simplify the process of property registration, enabling residents to submit applications or documents electronically from the comfort of their homes.

According to Sindh Governor House, this innovative approach to property registration signifies a significant shift towards digital governance, facilitating a more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly process for the citizens of Sindh. Following the submission of applications or documents for property registration to the Board of Revenue, applicants will receive notifications via SMS or email regarding the last date for the payment of fees or taxes associated with their application.
