Sindh Governor Highlights Role of Memon Community in National Economic Development at Business Conference


Karachi: At the International Memon to Memon Business Conference, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori emphasized the significant contributions of industrialists, traders, and entrepreneurs, particularly from the Memon community, towards realizing a prosperous and developed Pakistan. Addressing delegates from around the world and prominent figures from the business sector, Governor Tesori lauded the Memon community’s involvement in various social and welfare initiatives across multiple countries, including Pakistan.



According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori praised the leadership within the Memon community for their efforts in education, health, and other social sectors, which have been vital in bolstering Pakistan’s economy. He assured that the helpline of Governor House would provide all necessary support to investors, enhancing their contributions to the nation’s economic framework.



The conference, which gathered well-known industrialists, traders, and entrepreneurs, served as a platform for discussing the integral role of the business community in economic development. Governor Tesori acknowledged the Memon community’s impact, stating, “If there was no Memon community, Pakistan would have gone backwards.” He also addressed the security concerns in Karachi, crediting the local police with making strides in crime reduction and calling for collective efforts to further enhance safety.



Highlighting the importance of international diplomacy by Pakistani businessmen abroad, Governor Tesori encouraged them to attract more foreign investors to Pakistan, aiming to make it a preferred destination for international investments. He concluded by addressing economic challenges and future improvements, emphasizing the need for contributions towards national well-being.



The event concluded with Governor Tesori distributing shields to distinguished businessmen, celebrating their dedication to Pakistan’s economic prosperity.
