Karachi: At the 79th Independence Day celebration of Indonesia, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori emphasized the potential for significant developmental strides through enhanced trade and economic relations between Indonesia and Pakistan, two major Muslim nations. The governor addressed these points while attending the event as a special guest, where he was welcomed by the Acting Consul General of Indonesia, Teguh Wiweko.
According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori lauded Indonesia’s commendable achievements across various sectors including economic development, education, and technology, which are recognized globally. He noted that the strong bilateral relations are anchored in mutual respect and shared values. Highlighting Sindh’s conducive investment climate, the governor pointed out the province’s appeal to Indonesian and other international investors, especially in trade, education, technology, and cultural cooperation.
He assured continued support and assistance to both domestic and foreign investors through initiatives like the SIFC project. The celebration also featured cultural exchanges, including the display of videos from both Pakistan and Indonesia, and saw participation from numerous provincial ministers and diplomats.
