The Governor’s presence was a welcome surprise for many attending the cemeteries to recite Fatiha, and his distribution of syrup and food was particularly appreciated by the attendees.
According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori’s engagement in the cemeteries during Shab-e-Barat was part of a broader initiative to ensure the well-being and comfort of those observing the night. The provision of sabil (free drinking water stations) and the distribution of food and syrup were gestures of goodwill towards those gathered to pray and remember their deceased loved ones. The efforts by the Governor were received positively by the community, highlighting a deep sense of shared respect and unity on this solemn occasion.
