Karachi, During a seminar organized by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) at the Governor’s House on International Anti-Corruption Day, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesuri stressed the importance of rooting out corruption to establish a strong and welfare-oriented state. The seminar saw the participation of notable figures including IG Sindh Police Rafat Mukhtar, NAB Chairman and Deputy Chairman, and other distinguished guests.
According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesuri commended the DG NAB Karachi and his team for organizing the seminar and underscored the need for a committed approach towards a corruption-free society. He highlighted the negative impact of corruption on society and the economy and advocated for a three-pronged strategy by NAB focusing on awareness, prevention, and enforcement to combat this issue.
The Governor reflected on the progress of the country, noting that even after 76 years of independence, significant challenges related to corruption remain. He emphasized the collective responsibility of citizens to act fearlessly and contribute to the betterment of future generations.
Governor Tesuri also remarked on the natural resource wealth of each province and lamented the country’s continued reliance on foreign loans. He called for a change in mindset, urging people to become self-reliant and work towards the common good.
The event, held on International Anti-Corruption Day, served as a platform for discussion and advocacy against corruption, with the Governor’s message focusing on the need for individual and collective action to build a stronger, more prosperous Pakistan.
