Karachi: In a profound display of national solidarity, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesuri emphasized the unbreakable unity of Pakistan under its national flag during the Defense Day ceremony held at the Governor’s House on September 6. The event, which marked a significant celebration of patriotism, saw special honors extended to the families of martyrs, recognizing their sacrifices for the country’s sovereignty.
According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesuri addressed the assembly, stating that the entire nation stands united with the Pakistan Army, martyrs, and veterans, particularly highlighting the shared resolve to protect national sovereignty. He praised the valor of the nation’s heroes, affirming that the narrative of hate has been definitively buried through collective national effort.
The ceremony featured an unprecedented stage setup, claimed to be the most unique in Pakistan’s history, where the families of martyrs were treated as VVIPs, receiving salutes from the Navy band and a warm welcome on the red carpet. Tesuri saluted the martyrs and expressed gratitude towards mothers who have sacrificed their sons for the nation, underscoring that their debts could never fully be repaid.
Highlighting recent developments, the Governor noted the establishment of the SIFC by the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Chief of Army Staff, which has sparked significant foreign investment interest in Pakistan. He condemned the desecration of martyrs’ memorials on May 9, describing it as a sad incident, and celebrated the nation’s unity showcased across similar ceremonies nationwide.
The event also featured performances by renowned singer Asim Azhar, which resonated with the theme of national pride, culminating in chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” that echoed throughout the venue. The ceremony was attended by thousands, including consul generals, industrialists, businessmen, social leaders, and academic figures, all gathered to honor the legacy and future of Pakistan.
