Sindh Governor Calls Denial of Rights in Kashmir an Illegal Act by India

Karachi: Sindh Governor Mohammed Kamran Khan Tessori declared the denial of rights to the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) as an illegal act by India, highlighting ongoing tensions and human rights concerns in the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Governor Tessori’s remarks came as part of his message for Youm-e-Istehsaal Day, observed to protest India’s unilateral actions in IIOJK, which he stated violated international laws. The Governor criticized India’s efforts to change the demographic and political landscape of IIOJK, including settling non-state residents and applying new tactics of control, which he described as an attempt to usurp the region unlawfully.

Governor Tessori emphasized that such actions by India could not erase the history of IIOJK or suppress the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination. He accused India of using force to oppress the people of IIOJK and called on the international community to intervene. He urged global powers to pressure India to reverse its unconstitutional measures and restore human rights in the region. Concluding his message, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri struggle for autonomy and justice.
