Karachi, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori led Eid Al-Fitr prayers at Gulshan Jinnah (Old Polo Ground) in Karachi, joined by diplomats, local officials, and citizens. Post-prayers, Tesori shared significant announcements regarding upcoming foreign investments and local development projects aimed at boosting the region’s economy and technological advancement.
According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori disclosed plans for a substantial investment influx from Saudi Arabia totaling 5 billion dollars. Additionally, negotiations with the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf nations are underway to secure further financial commitments. He also mentioned the introduction of the Sindh Information and Fiscal Coordination (SIFC), proposing its role in enhancing law and order to foster a peaceful and conducive environment for business and technology growth in Sindh.
Governor Tesori outlined several initiatives, including the establishment of IT education facilities in Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, and other areas to accelerate the province’s transition into an IT hub. Additionally, he announced extra holidays for delivery workers during Eid and the provision of meals to underprivileged communities during Ramadan. Emphasizing the importance of national security, Tesori lauded the Pakistan Army’s efforts and contributions to the region’s stability and development.
