Sindh Governor Accuses Indian Intelligence Agency of Fomenting Unrest in Balochistan

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori has accused the Indian intelligence agency, RAW, of instigating disturbances in Balochistan, asserting that the turmoil is a deliberate attempt to derail Pakistan’s economic recovery and development. During a press conference at the Governor House, Governor Tesori detailed how external influences are exacerbating local tensions and outlined the measures being taken to address the situation.

According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori expressed deep concern over the ongoing disturbances in Balochistan, which he described as being fueled by RAW. He emphasized that those involved in the riots are not representative of the Baloch people but are instead rioters funded by the Indian agency. The Governor highlighted the national solidarity in the face of such adversities, reminiscent of the unity seen after the APS Peshawar attack.

Governor Tesori elaborated on the broader implications of the unrest, noting its detrimental impact on both the province and the nation. He confirmed that funeral prayers in absentia were held for civilians and Pakistan Army martyrs in Balochistan, illustrating the human cost of the disturbances. The Governor strongly condemned the external forces undermining Pakistan’s stability and economic integrity, calling for a decisive end to these interventions.

Addressing the economic dimension of the crisis, Tesori mentioned discussions with local businessmen who echoed the sentiment of unity and resilience in the face of economic sabotage. He stressed the importance of distinguishing between the local Baloch population, who he referred to as brothers and protectors, and the rioters paid by RAW. The Governor also touched upon the broader regional implications, stating that these disruptive activities spike when foreign investments increase, as seen with projects like the SIFC.

In a poignant remark, Governor Tesori recalled a recent interaction with world-renowned gold medalist Arshad Nadeem, underscoring the peaceful nature of the Pakistani populace and their support for the national army. He concluded by reiterating the need for collective action against the forces seeking to destabilize Pakistan and emphasized ongoing efforts to engage with aggrieved local groups, distinguishing them from terrorist elements.
