Sindh Government Commits to Journalist Welfare, Lauds Press Freedom Efforts


Karachi: Provincial Minister for Energy and Planning, Syed Nisar Hussain Shah, paid tribute to martyr journalists on the occasion of International Day of Press Freedom. Shah highlighted the Sindh government’s commitment to journalist welfare under the directives of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto.



In his statement, Shah emphasized the importance of journalists who write and speak the truth, acknowledging their role in addressing societal issues. He noted that the Pakistan People’s Party-led Sindh government has fostered a safe and peaceful environment for journalists to carry out their duties.



Shah urged the journalist community to focus on promoting public welfare projects through the media. He mentioned that several ongoing development schemes in Sindh are awaiting media coverage to bring them to public attention.



He reiterated that the Sindh government remains open to addressing any issues faced by journalists, emphasizing the government’s dedication to their welfare and support.
