According to Chief Minister Sindh, the negotiations with the ADB, spearheaded by delegation head Mr. Hong Su Lee, focused on finalizing a $400 million investment for housing development, with an additional $100 million earmarked for community infrastructure enhancements. The meeting underscored the urgent need for robust accommodations and facilities for those impacted by the floods, highlighting the initiative’s scope that includes efficient drainage systems, reliable drinking water supplies, and the integration of solar energy solutions in the new housing units.
The Chief Minister emphasized the broader commitment of the Sindh government to support flood victims, referencing party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s manifesto pledge to establish low-cost housing solutions.
