KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah concluded the three-day Urs of Abdullah Shah Ghazi, emphasizing the enduring influence of Sufi teachings on society. During the event, he underscored the importance of spirituality, unity, and tolerance, urging the public to follow the path of the Sufi saints.
The Chief Minister, accompanied by Minister Zakat and Auqaf Riaz Shah Shirazi, was warmly received at the shrine by Secretary Zakat Mureed Rahimoo. As part of the rituals, Murad Ali Shah offered prayers, laid a ceremonial cloth, and distributed clothes among the needy at the shrine.
Murad Shah regarded Abdullah Shah Ghazi as a beacon of Sindh’s spirituality, noting that the shrine provides visitors with respect, peace, and blessings. He reiterated that the Sufi tradition’s message of love and tolerance is a guiding light for society.
The Sindh government ensured comprehensive arrangements for the pilgrims attending the Urs. Minister Shirazi briefed the Chief Minister on the management and facilities during the event, which attracted thousands of devotees.
The Urs marked the 1295th anniversary of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi, celebrated for his bravery and dedication to Islam. The event is a significant spiritual occasion in Sindh’s cultural calendar, drawing attendees from across the region.
In a media interaction, Murad Ali Shah addressed various topics, including the role of the opposition and the importance of mutual respect. He also commented on regional security, highlighting Pakistan’s resilience in the face of India’s aggression.
The Chief Minister praised Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s effective representation of Pakistan on the international stage. He announced Bhutto’s upcoming arrival in Karachi and urged Pakistanis to welcome him, crediting him for positively transforming the world’s perspective on Pakistan.
During the media session, Murad Shah reflected on the positive outcomes of the meeting between Field Marshal Asim Munir and former US President Donald Trump, noting its impact on strengthening Pakistan’s foreign policy.
