Sindh Chief Minister Vows to Strengthen Law and Order, Targets Senate Election Success

Karachi, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has pledged to reinforce law and order in the province, with specific initiatives to curb street crime in Karachi and kidnappings in the Riverine areas. The commitment comes alongside the political strategy to secure 12 seats in the upcoming Senate election, reflecting the government’s dual focus on governance and electoral success.

According to Chief Minister Sindh, while casting his vote for the Senate election, Shah acknowledged past deficiencies in managing law and order but expressed determination to amend these issues. His administration plans to intensify efforts against criminal activities, with a notable improvement expected soon. During his previous term, measures such as controlling street crime and establishing police checkpoints along the Indus River had been initiated to limit bandit activities.

In the political realm, Shah disclosed his party’s intention to win 12 Senate seats, demonstrating confidence in their strategy and execution. The withdrawal of nomination papers by Sarfraz Rajar, following the party’s directive, exemplified the disciplined approach to achieving this goal. Shah also criticized the opposition, particularly PTI, for its failure to present a substantial challenge in the Senate elections, citing their withdrawal and boycott as a sign of retreat.

The discussions also touched on party affiliations and election dynamics, with Shah clarifying misconceptions about party memberships and asserting the organizational strength of his party in the face of electoral challenges.
